MINGLED FOOD
about mingled food
by Eleni Doxiadi
Everyday food should be easy, tasty, nutritious, affordable, and not time consuming, because, let's face it, any home cooked meal is better than any delivery. There are a few steps on that path but follow them and it will be easier than you expect:
Shop smart for a well equipped pantry.
Keep your kitchen clean and organized.
Prepare in your free time, and store properly.
Recycle ingredients in different recipes and use leftovers to minimize food waste.
Understand the basic science to master techniques.
Use your intuition and common sense if something doesn't look right.
Cook focused, so that every time will be easier and better.
Taste everything and season properly.
A note on categories:
Plants is clear enough.
Grains groups pulses, legumes, rice and quinoa.
Sea includes fish and seafood.
Land refers to its animals.
Eggs deserve a category of their own, and are exclusively chicken's.
Doughs include pies, tarts, flatbreads, etc but also pasta and noodles.
